"You choose the book and the library pays for it" new book flash lending event once again achieves historical success

From November 19th to 22nd, the 2024 Autumn New Book Exhibition planned by the Library (Cultural Heritage Department) and Jiangsu Phoenix Nanjing Xinhua Bookstore was held at the Binjiang, Weigang and Pukou campuses of our school. Three well-known publishing organizations, including CITIC Publishing Group, Jiangsu Literature and Art Publishing House, and Boji Tianjuan, were specially invited to participate in the book fair.

The book fair not only displays books to teachers and students, but also uses the "you choose the book library to pay" platform to realize the flash loan function of new books. Readers can borrow new books selected on site by simply scanning the QR code and return them after reading.

This event is the fourth large-scale book fair for teachers and students in the school since the launch of the "You Choose Books Library Pays" platform - a new book flash loan activity. During the four-day book fair, a total of 1,086 readers participated in the flash loan activity, including 834 new registered readers; a total of 3,160 new books were borrowed.

Since the "You Choose Books and Library Pays" platform was put into use in December 2022, there have been a total of 5,186 registered readers, a total of 11,424 new books have been borrowed and purchased online and offline, and more than 4,000 recommended books are used daily by nearly 1,000 readers. This service is also well received by them.

In the future resource construction work, the library will further promote the "you choose the book library pays" service, expand the form and method of activities, hand over the right to build book resources to the majority of campus readers, and provide more high-quality books for readers Choose to borrow and purchase, implement the construction concept of "user-friendly library" in daily work, and further promote the construction of a scholarly campus.
