The library building, an 8-story complex, is about 33,000 square meters in total and was unveiled in 1952. The main campus is 20,000 square meters, and the rest take up 13,000 square meters. The library currently contains collections consisting of more than two million books, bounded journals, periodicals,and electronic resources in a wide range of fields including agriculture, animal husbandry, plant protection,economic management and social sciences and humanities,etc. Aiming to improve the library's overall quality and increase the quantity and quality of resources, we have joined library consortia to provide readers with the interlibrary loan services. The NJAU library has gained a reputation as having most agricultural collections in Nanjing. In the last decade, the NJAU Library has experienced a transition, from classic printed materials to databanks, and thereafter to digital and e-materials.
