On the afternoon of October 6, a special report on "AI Assists the Growth of Scientific Research" hosted by the library and co-organized by the Academic Affairs Office was held in the East Lecture Hall of Zhang Zhiwen Library on Binjiang Campus. This report was specially aimed at students from Jinshanbao Academy and attracted students from a number of majors including agronomy, biological breeding, plant protection, horticulture, resources and environment, and food engineering.
Mr. Wang Bo, Elsevier's Scientific Research Management Solutions Manager, was invited to give a lecture. He introduced the application of scientific research tools such as Scopus AI and SciVal, and elaborated on how to use these tools to quickly establish a knowledge network in the scientific research field and obtain information from top institutions and experts. Manager Wang Bo also shared practical methods for analyzing journal inclusion preferences and scientific research impact, providing students with rich academic guidance.
This report was hosted by Teacher Chen Rongrong from the Reference Department of the Library. The event reached its climax in the interactive session. Students actively asked questions and had in-depth discussions with Manager Wang Bo on issues such as the application reliability of AI tools and data sources. With the rise of large language models and generative artificial intelligence, the reading experience of academic research has undergone revolutionary changes. This event aims to help students better understand the practical application of AI technology in document retrieval and analysis.
