On October 26, 2024, at the invitation of Guo Zhongxing, Director of the Library of our school, Ruan Lian, Director of the Library of the Illinois Fire Service Training Institute (IFSI) at the University of Illinois, USA, came to our library to carry out academic exchange activities and gave a speech titled "Artificial Intelligence" "Artificial Intelligence for Libraries" thematic report.
Ruan Lian introduced the development status of artificial intelligence technology and its application in libraries from three aspects: highlights of the Global Summit on Artificial Intelligence for Benefit, general background of artificial intelligence and introduction to libraries, and application of artificial intelligence technology in libraries. Prospects and typical implementation cases.
Exchange activities were carried out both online and offline. Our librarians actively participated and achieved good results . Some librarians said that Ruan Lian's report enhanced their understanding of artificial intelligence technology and expanded their international horizons, and they hoped to have more opportunities to listen to such high-quality academic reports in the future.
