On the morning of September 29, a meeting of the agricultural subject editorial committee of the online version of "Cihai" was held in our school. Dong Weichun, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the school, editorial board members of the agricultural branch and relevant staff of the library (Department of Cultural Heritage) attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Professor Hong Xiaoyue.

At the meeting, Hong Xiaoyue introduced the review of the agricultural vocabulary of Cihai online version and the translation work plan of the agricultural vocabulary of Cihai. Xin Wen introduced the preliminary work, existing problems and next steps.

In his speech, Dong Weichun reviewed the publication history of "Cihai" as China's first encyclopedia. He pointed out that Nanjing Agricultural University has been involved in this work for more than 60 years, which is both an honor and a responsibility. He emphasized that this revision is timely and the task is heavy. Everyone must carry forward the "Cihai" spirit of "meticulousness, careful consideration of every word, and rigorous style" to complete the revision work with high quality and quantity.

At the meeting, the editorial committee members had a full discussion on the follow-up work of "Cihai".
