On the morning of June 20, the Library (Cultural Heritage Department) Labor Union held a "Thank You for Your Youth" retirement ceremony and symposium for two retired librarians, Zhang Kun and Lu Jianhong, in the 1902 Information Sharing Space of the Weigang Campus Library. The event was hosted by Labor Union Chairman Tong Yunjuan. Zhu Shigui, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Library (Cultural Heritage Department), Wang Chunwei, Deputy Secretary and Deputy Director, Xin Wen, Deputy Director, Zhang Yong, Assistant Director, retired librarians Zhang Kun and Lu Jianhong, and more than 20 librarian representatives attended the symposium.

Director Guo Zhongxing sent warm blessings to the two librarians in the form of a congratulatory letter, thanking the two colleagues for their sincere dedication to the library cause, praising their professional spirit of unremitting pursuit of the cause and the spirit of librarians who love and are loyal to their jobs, and wishing them a happy, colorful and happy retirement life. Party branch secretary Zhu Shigui fully affirmed the virtues of the two teachers in their work and said that this is a concrete manifestation of "establishing morality and educating people". She encouraged the two teachers to continue to play the advantages of NNU's "know-it-alls" and "living dictionary" of library business knowledge after retirement, and invited them to reflect the development of the school and the library through their own work experience in the form of "oral history", and to contribute to the development of the school and the library (Cultural Heritage Department).

Don’t say it’s too late, the sky is still full of clouds, and the glory will never go away. At the ceremony, Zhu Shigui presented the two teachers with retirement souvenirs that meant "Be an honest, hardworking and kind person in NNU for life". Xin Wen and Wang Chunwei presented flowers to Zhang Kun and Lu Jianhong respectively, thanking them for their hard work and efforts during their tenure.

The drizzle is deep in my heart, and we recall the good times. The leaders and colleagues who attended the ceremony recalled the good times they had working with the retired teachers, and expressed their reluctance, respect, gratitude and blessings to them. The librarians attending the ceremony said that teachers Zhang Kun and Lu Jianhong were conscientious and diligent in their jobs, and cared deeply for their colleagues in life. They hoped that they would be healthy, have a happy family, and have a brand new start. They also hoped that they would come back to the library often.

Zhang Kun and Lu Jianhong delivered retirement speeches. They not only expressed their reluctance to leave the library (Cultural Heritage Department), recalled the good times and unforgettable moments of working with everyone, but also encouraged their colleagues to stick to their original aspirations, keep integrity and innovate, carry forward the professional sentiment of librarians' dedication and devotion, and be the cultivators of the school's cause and the warm-hearted people who serve teachers and students. They said that after retirement, "leaving the post will not be a part of the heart, and retirement will not fade away", and they will always pay attention to the development of the library (Cultural Heritage Department) and hope to continue to witness the new glory of development with everyone.

The library (Cultural Heritage Department) also solemnly prepared a "Special Honor Award" medal for teacher Lu Jianhong, who has been working at the library for more than 30 years, to thank her for her contribution to the library cause.

Finally, the participants of the symposium shared the retirement cakes full of blessings from the two retired teachers, congratulated the two teachers on starting a new journey of retirement life, and wished the library (Cultural Heritage Department) to become better and better.
