Pukou campus library successfully conducted fire emergency evacuation drill

In order to improve the fire safety awareness of teachers and students in Pukou Campus and enhance their ability to quickly and orderly evacuate the disaster site in an emergency, the school conducted a fire emergency evacuation drill in the library on the afternoon of November 8. People from the Pukou District Fire Squadron, campus library, security office, management committee, readers studying in the library, Consumers Association, Red Cross, etc. participated in the drill.

Before the drill, a mobilization meeting was held in the north square of the library. The meeting was chaired by Wang Chunwei, deputy secretary and deputy director (deputy minister) of the library, and Li Zhonghua, deputy secretary of the Pukou Management Committee, gave a fire drill mobilization speech.

The scene of this drill was that "a fire broke out due to a short circuit in the wires" in the library's reading room, and thick smoke spread to the library's book stacks, electronic reading rooms, lecture halls and other places. Alarm handling, emergency evacuation, on-site evacuation and other aspects were drilled on site. Finally, all personnel were evacuated to the north square of the library. The instructor of the fire squadron made a summary and introduced the functions of the fire truck.

Through this drill, everyone's fire safety awareness and ability to respond to emergency fire situations and emergency evacuation were strengthened.
