The Academic Exchange Program for Chinese Librarians (hereinafter referred to as the Academic Exchange Program) is an academic exchange program organized by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (U of U) in the United States, with the participation of library leaders and scholars from all over China. It has been successfully implemented at U of I 16 academic exchange programs for Chinese librarians have been held.

The project seeks solutions and countermeasures to solve common problems faced by libraries in China and the United States through thematic reports, comparative case studies between China and the United States, academic exchanges, and practical exchanges. The project is particularly beneficial to Chinese librarians who play key business roles. It aims to improve the professional level of innovative Chinese university librarians and lead and transform the management concepts and service capabilities of Chinese libraries in the new era.

Since the establishment of the academic exchange project, our library has sent nine librarians including Hu Yitao and Chen Rongrong to participate. These librarians fully applied what they saw and learned during the exchange in the daily work of the library, and played an important role in the construction, innovation, and development of the library.

In order to implement the general requirements of the theme ideological education of "learning ideas, strengthening party spirit, emphasizing practice, and building new achievements", we will further promote the future construction and innovative development of the library (Ministry of Cultural Heritage). After discussion and decision at the library affairs meeting, 10 current librarians were selected to go to the United States in three batches to participate in academic exchanges. Current librarians who are willing to participate in this academic exchange program can register by scanning the QR code below and filling out the form.

After the registration deadline, the library (Cultural Heritage Department) will focus on the applicant's English communication level, work ability, and personal contribution to the library's future development and work innovation after exchange, and select the best.
