The school history museum completed four renovations during the summer

In order to welcome the new students in the class of 2023 and better display the history of Nanjing Agricultural University, the History Museum of Nanjing Agricultural University completed four updated designs during the summer vacation, including the "Scroll of Jinling, Sanjiang Guangyu", brief introductions of the main leaders of the school, Mr. Jin Shanbao's showcase and Alumni academician display board.
The first is to add the "Picture Scroll of Sanjiang Guangyu Jinling at the Beginning". This picture scroll comprehensively displays the continuous development process of Nanjing Agricultural University over the past 120 years. The design of the scroll takes the meaning of "Three Parallel Rivers". On the historical axis of the late Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China and New China, with the Yangtze River as the main line and landmark buildings or major events on campus in different periods as markers, it shows Nannong's gradual progress from the three founding sources. The process of merging forms a magnificent and timeless picture. "Zhishi Sanjiang" means the starting point of agricultural science and natural history of Sanjiang Normal School and the land of Southeast Wu and Vietnam, and "Guangyu Jinling" means the starting point of agricultural science of Jinling University and the ancient capital Jinling, the main place of education. The scroll is located on the exhibition wall of the middle hall of the school history museum.
The second is to reorganize and design the profiles of previous major leaders. A comprehensive review of the main leaders of the National Central University College of Agriculture and its predecessors (including the merged Jiangsu Provincial No. 1 Agricultural School), the private Jinling University College of Agriculture and Nanjing Agricultural College, and Nanjing Agricultural University and their biographies. Profiles of the main leaders are located on the southeast side of the school history museum.
The third is to enrich the content of Mr. Jin Shanbao’s showcase. Mr. Jin Shanbao was one of the first batch of students in the agricultural major of Nanjing Normal University and the first dean of Nanjing Agricultural College. He played a decisive role in the development of Nanjing Agricultural University. Mr. Jin Shanbao's oil painting was remounted and repaired and hung on the first exhibition column of the exhibition hall. There are two appointment letters on display in the showcase (the appointment letter of Vice Mayor of Nanjing Municipal People's Government signed by Chairman Mao Zedong in 1950, the appointment letter of Dean of Nanjing Agricultural College signed by Premier Zhou Enlai in 1954), and the "Jin Shanbao" written by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1994. "Selected Works", "Collected Works of Jin Shanbao" (volumes one and two) compiled by Nanjing Agricultural University in 2022, and Mr. Jin Shanbao's letter to central leaders for the resumption of Nanjing Agricultural University.
Fourth, a new alumni and academician exhibition board was added. A total of 65 teachers and students from Nanjing Agricultural University and its predecessor were elected to the list of first academicians of Academia Sinica, members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, academicians of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and academicians of the Academy of Sciences of Developing Countries. The alumni and academician exhibition board is located on the southwest side of the school history museum. The biographies of the alumni and academicians are displayed on the academician wall in the library reading room and the figure exhibition of each department in the school history museum.
