On the morning of June 12th, the library (Department of Cultural Heritage) and the School of Information Management carried out a joint study activity on the theme of "Traditional Culture Inheritance, Schools and Libraries Hand in Hand to Create a New Chapter" in the meeting room D503 of the teaching building. The leadership teams of the two units participated this event. The event was co-chaired by Zhu Shigui, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Library (Ministry of Cultural Heritage), and Zheng Dejun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Information Management.

In the learning process of reading the original book, Zhu Shigui learned a series of statements by General Secretary Xi Jinping about "insisting on combining the basic principles of Marxism with China's specific reality and combining it with China's excellent traditional culture". She pointed out that it is necessary to strengthen the research and interpretation of China's excellent traditional culture, improve the carriers for inheriting excellent traditional culture such as libraries, archives, museums, and school history museums, and effectively integrate the essence of Marxist thought with the essence of China's excellent traditional culture. Active work has been made in campus culture construction and cultural education to contribute to the continuous promotion of cultural prosperity and the construction of a culturally powerful country.
Zheng Dejun learned from General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on "building a community with a shared future for mankind", "building a solid sense of the Chinese nation's community", and "man and nature are a community of life". Zheng Dejun pointed out that "community" has become Xi Jinping's socialist thought with Chinese characteristics in the new era One of the iconic concepts expressed in discourse, the important discussion of "community" solves, leads and solves problems for the development of China and the world with the awareness of contemporary issues, common value purposes, and holistic development demands.
