Platform introduction
CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform (Academic) is an intelligent research platform for chemistry and related disciplines produced by the American Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), covering multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary scientific and technological information, such as chemistry, biology, medicine, materials, food, applied chemistry, Chemical engineering, agronomy, polymers, physics, etc.; the types of literature included include journals, patents, conference papers, dissertations, books, technical reports, reviews, preprints, and web resources, etc. CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform (Academic) has added CAS Analytical Methods (analytical method solutions) and CAS Formulus (formulation (preparation) solutions) two platforms. CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform (Academic) can integrate the following three platforms: a new generation of SciFinder platform CAS SciFinder n , CAS Analytical Methods (analytical method solutions) and CAS Formulus (formulation (preparation) solutions).
The CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform (Academic) purchased by our library has the following contents:
1. CAS SciFinder n
CAS SciFinder n currently integrates data sets such as CAS REGISTRY, CAS References, CAS Patents, CAS Reactions, CAS Commercial Sources and CAS Formulations, as well as the database MEDLINE produced by the US National Library of Medicine. CAS SciFinder n covers 59 million chemical and related subject documents, 204 million chemical substances, 150 million chemical reactions, 1.39 million Markush structures from patents, 650 million biological sequences, chemical business information and regulatory information, dating back to 1840 . Users can search for compounds, chemical reactions, literature records, chemical suppliers, and biological sequences in one stop on this platform, and can use the Retrosynthesis module to generate retrosynthetic pathways for substances.
Part of the search results of CAS SciFinder n can be seamlessly linked to CAS Analytical Methods and CAS Formulus.
2. CAS Analytical Methods
CAS Analytical Methods covers more than 4.5 million chemical analysis methods from journals, provides search and comparison functions, and quickly obtains analytical methods that can be directly operated in the laboratory. Areas of focus include pharmacology, HPLC, food analysis, natural product separation analysis, and water analysis, among others.
3. CAS Formulus
CAS Formulus is a solution for integrating formula (formulation) data and workflow. Covering pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, agricultural chemicals, inks, coatings and many other fields, CAS scientists have indexed >7 million formula information from journals and patents. CAS Formulus can be used to search formulas and their processes, ingredients, common compatible ingredients of target ingredients, design formulas and explore compliance requirements, etc.
