On the morning of November 28th, the library (Cultural Heritage Department) invited Liu Yuxian, a double-employed researcher of Tongji University’s education department and the library, to give an academic lecture on "The Path Search for the Integration of Archives, Graphics and Information" in the conference room on the seventh floor of the library. In the lecture, Liu Yuxian, a research librarian, started from the definition of the integration of graphics, information and archives, reviewed the domestic and foreign background, theoretical basis and the integration process of disciplines of the integration of graphics, information and archives, and pointed out that the integration of graphics, information and archives has been realized, but archives and Although there are precedents for the integration of graphics and information, there are still contradictions and difficulties in the integration. Then, Liu Yuxian introduced to everyone the scientific global skeleton diagram based on papers, journals, and research fields, introduced the discipline structure diagram developed by himself using the relationship between disciplines and journals, and finally pointed out the two principles of communication between Chinese archives and graphics Path: cultural path and technical path, which leads to the future path of the integration of graphics, information and archives.

Afterwards, several librarians from the library (Cultural Heritage Department) including Hu Yitao, Tong Yunjuan, and Chen Rongrong asked Liu Yuxian for advice on how to combine theory and practice in areas such as reading promotion and subject analysis, and Liu Yuxian answered them one by one. She also shared with you the importance of research ability to the improvement of service ability, and encouraged you, as librarians of the library (Cultural Heritage Department), to start from the theoretical basis of daily work, broaden your horizons, and make more comparisons, and you will surely find pictures. Tang Huiyan made a concluding speech. She hoped that on the one hand, everyone could understand the basic ideas and common methods of library science research by studying the lecture cases of Teacher Liu Yuxian, and on the other hand, think more about carrying out research work through problem-oriented work in order to improve library science.
