On the afternoon of October 14, Secretary of the Party Committee Chen Ligen and Vice President Yan Xianglin came to the library (Cultural Heritage Department) to inspect and guide relevant work.

The school leaders first came to the academic lecture hall of the library, learned about the use and management of the lecture hall in detail, and checked the new effects. In particular, they put forward requirements for the elimination of the odor of the building materials of the new lecture hall.

Afterwards, the school leaders came to the public reading area and some reading rooms to check the learning environment, service support and safety guarantee of teachers and students. In the party history learning and education area on the first floor, Chen Ligen communicated cordially with readers, listened to their needs, and encouraged readers to devote themselves to learning and life with full enthusiasm, so as to write the most beautiful chapter of youth.

Chen Ligen affirmed the optimization and adjustment of library space, the guarantee of readers' learning conditions, and the service and education of people. He pointed out that the unique humanistic atmosphere of the library can make people study in peace, which cannot be replaced by any modern technology. The library should continue to make efforts in serving readers and supporting the construction of reading and learning conditions. At the same time, in terms of the renovation of the reading space in the old library and the construction of the library on the new campus, we should actively investigate and study the advanced management and service experience of other sister institutions, especially the newly built library, so as to meet the diverse needs of teachers and students. He emphasized that the library building, fire protection, epidemic prevention and other aspects should take historical responsibilities, fully recognize the importance of safety and stability, further strengthen the management of library building safety, network security and other aspects, implement work responsibilities, and effectively carry out related work .

Relevant persons in charge of the Party Office, Organization Department, Planning, Finance and State-owned Assets Department, Zhu Shigui, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Library (Cultural Heritage Department), and Guo Zhongxing, the director (minister), accompanied the inspection.
