On the afternoon of October 12, two old comrades, Lin Xiuqing and Jia Simin, retired employees of the Library (Cultural Heritage Department) participated in the "Our Ten Years" speech contest organized by the school's work committee. As the theme, it fully reflects the development process and outstanding achievements of our school library (cultural heritage department) since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and won the second prize.

In order to welcome the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the 120th anniversary of the school, the School Customs Working Committee organized and launched the "Our Ten Years" speech contest for young and old. The General Party Branch of the Library (Cultural Heritage Department) attaches great importance to it and earnestly implements relevant organization and competition work; actively organizes relevant personnel to prepare for the competition, mobilizes retired teachers to participate in the competition, determines speech topics and writes text materials, collects and selects background pictures, Do a good job in logistical support, etc. Two old comrades Lin Xiuqing and Jia Simin actively signed up for the competition, and the Reader Service Department organized members of the College Student Reading Association to participate in the student track competition.

After the intense preliminary competition, the speeches of two veteran comrades Lin Xiuqing and Jia Simin entered the final stage. 17 (pairs) contestants took turns to give speeches, praising the excellent achievements of the motherland and the school in all walks of life in the past ten years. The two veteran comrades Lin Xiuqing and Jia Simin used wonderful speeches and beautiful words, which were recognized by the judges and enthusiastically responded by the audience. In the end, they ranked fourth in the total score (retired and student tracks) and second in the retired track. Excellent results, won the second prize.
