Starting from September 12, 2022, the Pukou campus library has completed the admission training for more than 1,600 undergraduate freshmen of the 2022 class in nearly three weeks.

This training work refers to the training mechanism of the Weigang Library of the school department. The class is the unit. The class leader makes an appointment for the new student admission training course 1 day in advance. The training time is about 40~60 minutes. The librarian or volunteer Guide everyone to visit the library and introduce library related knowledge. After the training is completed, open the library borrowing authority for the whole class, and receive the "Library (Cultural Heritage Department) Service Guide".

In order to meet the admission training requirements of new students as soon as possible, the Pukou Branch released 50 appointment batches using the "Quick Appointment" applet. Each batch can be booked for two classes at the same time, covering the time from Monday to Sunday. Avoiding the military training time for new students during the day, extra sessions will be arranged at night and on weekends, so that new students can make full use of the non-military training time to participate in training. At the same time, in the training of new students entering the library, the Pukou branch is also the first time to use the volunteer mechanism. This time, a total of 6 volunteers participated and explained a total of 40 sessions.

The entrance training led everyone to operate various self-service equipment on the spot, with a novel form and an in-depth experience of the library, which was well received by the freshmen. In addition to the on-site explanation, the 2022 undergraduate students also actively participated in the questionnaire survey on the space planning and functional design of Zhang Zhiwen Library.
