On the afternoon of August 31, the library (Cultural Heritage Department) held a new semester archives work meeting. Zhu Shigui, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Library (Cultural Heritage Department), and all the librarians of the Archives attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by the former deputy director (deputy minister) Zhang Kun.

Zhu Shigui pointed out that archives are the historical proof of school construction and development, the direct basis for education and teaching management, and an important carrier of school culture. She suggested that firstly, we should improve our political position and fully understand the importance of archival work. Second, we must strengthen responsibility and firmly establish a sense of responsibility for archival work. Third, we must strengthen standardized management and continuously improve the system and mechanism of archives work. Fourth, we must strengthen team building to ensure that the archives work achieves practical results. It is necessary to ensure the stability of part-time archivists, effectively strengthen training, and improve the professional quality and work ability of part-time archivists. Fifth, we must dig deep into archive resources and improve service capabilities. It is necessary to further strengthen the filing work of special special archives, continuously enrich the construction of archives resources, and improve the ability of archives services.

At the meeting, Zhang Kun put forward new ideas for the archives work in the new semester, and pointed out that all departments should closely focus on the upcoming 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the 120th anniversary of the school, carefully plan the key work of this semester, strengthen the construction of library style and function, and insist on The concept of "managing files for the party, preserving the history of the school, and educating people for the government", put the work in place, decompose the tasks well, and strive to improve the level and quality of services for teachers and students.

In order to strengthen the training of archives work, Zhang Kun organized everyone to study the book "New Ideas of Archives Work in the New Era" written by Yang Dongquan, former director of the State Archives Administration and former director of the State Archives, focusing on the interpretation of archives security work, and pointed out that the alarm bell should be kept ringing and always remembered. File security "eight defenses" requirements, do a good job in the study of file confidentiality, ensure the safety of our school's file work, put the confidentiality work in place, and improve the efficiency of file utilization.

Zhang Lixia, director of the personnel archives management department, and Zhang Li, director of the comprehensive archives management department, introduced the key points and routine work of this semester, and put forward opinions and requirements on the main problems in the work. All the librarians reviewed the work during the last semester and the summer vacation, looked forward to the main work of this semester, and put forward their own suggestions and ideas for solving the main problems. Everyone agreed that archivists should have a high sense of political responsibility and a responsible attitude towards the school’s career and all teachers and students, and solidly promote the school’s archives work, so as to make due contributions to accelerating the development of a world-class university with agricultural characteristics.
