On December 28th, Tang Huiyan and Zhang Kun, deputy directors of the Library (Cultural Heritage Department), and librarians from the Reference Department, Reader Service Department, Document Resource Construction and Technical Support Department, etc., attended the SUMMON Discovery in the conference room on the seventh floor. The system is oriented towards special training sessions for librarians.

SUMMON Discovery System is a new generation of academic resource discovery and acquisition system developed by ProQuest Group in the United States, dedicated to providing readers with convenient "one-stop" retrieval. Due to the epidemic, Zhu Lin, a senior trainer of the company, conducted training and interaction through video in Beijing. He gave a detailed and in-depth explanation of the basic situation, detailed functions, background management, and common problems in the use of the SUMMON system. During the training, the librarian from the club also exchanged ideas with ProQuest personnel about some of the problems encountered in daily use.

Through training, librarians quickly learn about relevant knowledge, which can facilitate their own inquiries about relevant resources, and lay a solid foundation for reader services such as promotion and answering questions.
