On November 28, the Forum for Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Liu Shukai’s Birth and the Centennial Development of Land Economics was held on the third floor of Jinling Research Institute. More than 200 people, including Liu Cong, director of the Department of Natural Resources of Jiangsu Province, Zhu Xinhua, deputy director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Jiangsu Province, Chen Ligen, secretary of the Party Committee of our school, Chen Fadi, principal, heads of relevant units of the school, and representatives of Mr. Liu Shukai’s relatives attended the conference.

Zhu Shigui, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Library (Cultural Heritage Department) and related staff of the School History Museum attended the conference. At the commemorative meeting, the launching ceremony of "The Collected Works of Liu Shukai" was held, and Zhu Shigui accepted the book donation on behalf of the library (Ministry of Cultural Heritage).

At the meeting, Mr. Liu Shukai’s colleagues, student representatives, brother college representatives, and hometown representatives delivered speeches respectively, expressing their deepest memory and high respect for Mr. Liu. The participating experts conducted extensive discussions and exchanges on Mr. Liu Shukai's outstanding achievements in academic research, discipline construction and talent training.

Mr. Liu Shukai is a well-known land economist in my country and a professor in the School of Economics and Management and School of Public Administration of our school. He has made a significant contribution to the creation of land economics with Chinese characteristics. He is one of the founders of the subject of land economics in China, and is also a professor of agricultural resource economics. The pioneer of science and agricultural regional planning has made important contributions to the establishment and development of land resource management in our country.

During the meeting, the bronze statue of Mr. Liu Shukai was unveiled.

During the preparation period, Liu Shukai's family visited the school history museum.
