Professor Dong Weichun, vice president of our school and curator of the Agricultural Museum, specially accepted this special video interview, telling the staff of Xinhuanet about the earliest penicillin strains collected by our school in my country. It took half a year to finally bring three test tubes of penicillin (also known as penicillin, a transliteration of penicillin) back to China from the United States, and to develop, name and produce it in China. According to reports, Professor Fan Qingsheng considered that penicillin should have a name accepted by the majority of the Chinese people. Based on the characteristics of taxonomy, he believed that the mold is blue-yellow in morphology, so he chose "green"; the English suffix "-in" of penicillin It is often translated as "su" in academics, and the two are combined into one. The penicillin medicine was named "penicillin" and it is still used today. "It is precisely because Mr. Fan Qingsheng is not afraid of hardships, has the people of his homeland in mind, and devoted himself to the development of penicillin, China has become one of the seven countries in the world that can develop penicillin at that time. He is the well-deserved'father of Chinese penicillin'," said Dong Weichun. .
