On March 23, a meeting of the directors of the Reader Service and Reading Promotion Committee of the Jiangsu University Library and Information Work Committee was held in Changzhou. The director of the special committee Ni Feng, the curator of Nanjing Agricultural University, the deputy director of the special committee Yu Guangyun, the curator of China University of Mining and Technology, Curator Jin Yao of Changzhou University, Deputy Curator Qian Peng of Southeast University, and Curator Chen Liang of Nanjing University of the Arts attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Director Ni Feng reviewed the work of 2020 on behalf of the special committee and looked forward to the work plan for 2021. In 2020, the special committee has undergone many personnel changes. Under the severe impact of the global new crown epidemic, it still successfully completed the review and recognition of advanced individuals in reader service and reading promotion in 2018-2019. The "Yunzhou Cup" Reading a book activity, the second Jiangsu Province "Library Cup" College Students Speaking English Contest and other activities were held. In 2021, work will be carried out on the special committee's own construction, service development, event organization, excellent selection, and annual meeting preparation. Participating members conducted serious discussions on the 2021 work plan one by one and unanimously adopted them, discussed and supplemented the specific details of the work plan, and made division and implementation of work tasks.
Ni Feng, director of the special committee, said that reader service and reading promotion are an important part of library services. The work of the special committee aims to promote unity and cooperation within the university libraries in Jiangsu Province, strengthen interlibrary exchanges, stimulate innovation and promote Reading promotion, improve service level, and make greater contributions to the reader service and reading promotion work of universities and colleges in Jiangsu Province.
