On the afternoon of December 23, the library (Department of cultural heritage) and the College of Marxism jointly held an open course of "four histories" education with the theme of "University and the earth". All members of the second party branch of the library (Department of cultural heritage) participated in the activity.

Before the opening of the open class, the original alumni Hall of the University was renamed as the school history hall. Wang Chunchun, deputy secretary of the Party committee of the University, and Dong Weichun, vice president of the University, jointly unveiled the newly renamed school history hall. Responsible comrades of relevant departments and colleges of the University, and representatives of teachers, students and Party members attended the activity. The unveiling ceremony was presided over by Ni Feng, director of the library (Cultural Heritage Department).

In the open class, Dong Weichun started with "three questions of Nannong". Through the three chapters of "spark", "start a prairie fire" and "development", he detailed how a group of pioneers of school management laid the foundation of modern agricultural science fire in Nannong, influenced the whole country and went to the world; how to deeply rooted in the idea of running a university "and the idea of combining agricultural science and education, so as to promote the development of the University Accelerate the construction of China's higher agricultural education system; Nanjing Agricultural University Motto "honesty, simplicity, diligence and benevolence" from where, these four words contain how rich spiritual connotation.

Then, Professor Ge Xiaoru extended the study of the four histories from the school history education. He pointed out that the study of the four histories is helpful to strengthen ideals and beliefs, resist historical nihilism, inherit the historical spirit, shoulder the historical mission bravely, absorb historical wisdom, and open up a new field of study.

The school history characters and stories taught by Professor Dong Weichun not only write a heavy stroke in the "four histories", but also precipitate a red element in the history of Nannong school, which is a vivid material for the study of "four histories". Party members of the Party branch said that they should draw wisdom from the study of the history of the University and the four histories, gather consensus, and contribute to the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the building of the university into a world-class university with agricultural characteristics.

Finally, Li Bing, the director of the school history museum and a member of the second branch, led the participants to visit the school history museum.
