The reader service department carries out "farmhouse bookstore" research line

On December 8, Tong Yunjuan, director of the Reader Service Department, Zhou Fu, deputy director and other four people went to Liuhe District, Nanjing city to conduct field research on "farmhouse bookstore", and investigated 2 community farmhouse bookstores in Xiongzhou Street in total.

There are more than 10 agricultule-related communities under the jurisdiction of Xiongzhou Sub-district, Liuhe District. This survey visited two of them: Lingyan community and Fangzhou community. Teacher Tao Tao, responsible person of Lingyan community farmhouse bookstore, Secretary Xu Laidi of Fangzhou Community Party Branch, etc. warmly received the visitors from the reader service Department, and led them to visit their respective farmhouse bookstore. The rural library in Lingyan community has a collection of nearly 7000 books, equipped with computers and other Internet facilities, with more than 50 seats for reading. The library loan and return system will be realized with the Library in Liuhe District. There are Lingyan Primary School and Xiongzhou Junior High School in the area, with a community population of nearly 7000 people. Fangzhou Community farmhouse library has a collection of nearly 5,000 books, including a farmhouse library and Internet access facilities. There is also a popular science book bar in the community service center for residents to rest and read while waiting. The farmhouse library has been opened with the Liuhe District Library through the loan and return, with a full-time librarian.

Both heads of the two rural libraries expressed their pleasure to cooperate with the Library of Nanjing Agricultural University. They hoped that by carrying out reading promotion activities together, culture could be brought into the community, and residents in the community could read books together, so as to jointly build a bookstore community.

Through the investigation, I have mastered the first-hand information of the rural library, and also found that some problems exist after the perfect facilities. Tong yunjuan said that she has gained a lot from this research. She will carefully prepare the activity planning of "Farmhouse Library Ambassador" in combination with the research situation, strengthen the communication between the school and the community, and work together to improve the service efficiency of "Farmhouse Library", so as to achieve the work goal of "books for farmers, reading for revitalization".
