Pukou Branch will hold the training lecture on electronic resources for new graduate students in the winter of 2020

On the afternoon of November 25th, Pukou Branch invited two expert teachers, Hu Yitao and Zhang Bin from the reference department of the library of the school, to give a training lecture on electronic resources for new graduate students in Pukou Campus. The lecture was held at the 405 of the training Department.

Hu Yitao introduced the use of literature retrieval and essay writing tool (NE) from three aspects. Firstly, the basic concept of literature and the purpose and process of literature retrieval are popularized. Then, it introduces the list of database purchased by our university, and takes CnKI as an example to demonstrate the application of advanced search and Boolean logic. In the essay writing tool, 7 steps of NoteExpress are introduced emphatically. Finally, in terms of literature acquisition, the platform of Jiangsu Engineering Literature technology Center cooperating with our school was recommended to the students.

Zhang Bin introduced how to efficiently use the retrieval system and search for scientific research direction, focusing on the introduction and case demonstration of SCI database and EI Compendex retrieval platform. In addition, ASME full text Database, HAIrion global scientific research project database, EBSCO and Springer journal database were also promoted.

At the end of the lecture, two teachers answered the questions raised by the students on the spot. The database and literature writing tools introduced in this lecture are closely related to the discipline of Pukou Campus, which is conducive to students' effective use of electronic literature information for thesis opening and scientific research.
