In order to further improve the service level of university libraries in our province and the ability to guarantee literature and information resources, JALIS will drive the comprehensive development of university libraries through scientific research projects, and now starts the application work of special research topics for the year 2020.
The special research topics of JALIS in 2020 will focus on the development of new technology in libraries, big data application, talent cultivation, digital humanities, library alliance and other fields, and a number of important topics that need to be studied will be prepared. Each unit can choose and apply for them based on its own expertise and existing foundation. The number of projects supported by this year's plan is 10, and the subsidy for each project is RMB 20,000 yuan. It is hoped that all units will actively organize declarations and participate in the construction and development of JALIS.
一、Research topic
The research topics planned for this year are shown below. At the same time, self-selected topics are allowed to carry out research, and the amount of funding for self-selected projects shall not exceed 20% of the total number of projects.

Deadline for application: Applicants should send the electronic Word version of the project application to JALIS Management contact person (Meng Yong jalis@nju.edu.cn 025-89683138) by October 20, 2020.
Publication of results: The JALIS Management Center will organize expert reviews of the declared topics and plans to publish the results on the home page by November 6, 2020. After obtaining the project approval, the applicant submits the paper version (seal) of the project declaration to the JALIS Management Center and completes the relevant agreement signing by November 10, 2020, so as to ensure that the project funding for JALIS is allocated as planned.
Project review and conclusion: All funded projects are required to submit interim progress report by May 2021; The project shall complete the research work before December 2021, and submit the project report and research results. The JALIS Management Center will organize experts to review the completed report, and the unit where the rejected person fails the review will not be allowed to reapply for the JALIS project within two years.
