Introduction of platform

BioOne has been sponsored by many famous universities since 1999. It is a non-profit organization jointly formed by various academic associations, universities and publishing houses. It is the only journal integration alliance with high influence in the field of biological science research. BioOne's founding includes the American institute of biological sciences, the alliance for scholarly publishing and academic resources, the university of Kansas, the American western library association, and Aaron publishing. Currently, it includes 151 high-quality biological science journals published by non-commercial publishing houses and academic associations, which are the basic academic resources for teaching and research of related disciplines.

BioOne journal covering the subject scope is very broad, including: agriculture, dairy and animal husbandry, agricultural economics, biology, biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, biodiversity protection, cell biology, developmental biology, ecology, engineering, environmental sciences, entomology, evolutionary biology, fisheries, forestry, genetics, genetics, geography, geological and limnology, Marine and freshwater biology, microbiology, ornithology, paleontology, parasitology, botany, public environmental and occupational hygiene, sports science, veterinary medicine, zoology, etc. In January 2018, BioOne included 207 high-quality academic journals of biological sciences published by academic associations and non-profit publishing houses, among which 157 journals were included in the ISI-JCR report. Among the more than 60 exclusive journals in the database, 67% were included in the ISI-JCR report, 103 exclusive XML journals were included, and 81% were included. More than 98% of the journals are peer reviewed. In the database, the 5-year average impact factor of periodicals with higher than 2 reached 27, and the impact of Bulletin of the American Museum of Natural History periodicals recorded in 2008 was as high as 16.385. The repetition rate of BioOne and ASP was only 0.2%. Since 1965, the content has been more than 1.4 million pages.
