On the afternoon of November 9, the library organized the annual fire safety evacuation drill at the north tower. The secretary of the general party branch of the library, Mr. He dongfang, deputy director of the security department, and all party members and some readers of the library participated in the evacuation drill.

During the drill, cheng qiang, chief of fire management department of the security department, was invited to give fire safety knowledge training to all the librarians. He introduced some fire accident cases in detail through PPT, and taught emergency treatment measures in case of fire. Then, without prior notice, the fire was simulated, and the staff on duty found the fire, and then the fire alarm bell was sounded and the fire was saved. After receiving the alarm, fire protection department immediately rushed to the scene for "fire fighting", and medical staff of the school hospital also arrived at the scene at the first time. Finally, all personnel were safely evacuated to the library's east gate square.

After the exercise, he dongfang summarized and commented on the activity. He said that the fire evacuation drill has not informed the readers in advance, so that the teachers and students participating in the drill have a more direct and personal escape experience, and enhance the awareness of teachers, students and employees on safety and fire prevention. He pointed out that the library is conducting fire evacuation drills every year, but only by maintaining a strong sense of fire safety and mastering the necessary fire escape skills can it effectively avoid the occurrence of fire and casualties.
