Recently, the list of subjects for the third phase of jiangsu university's advantageous discipline construction project was published, and our university was shortlisted in 8 disciplines, ranking among the top universities in the province. Among them, food science and engineering, horticulture science, plant protection, agricultural and forestry economic management and public management are 5 subjects of class A, animal husbandry science and veterinary medicine are 2 subjects of class B, and agricultural engineering is C subjects.
According to the "project selection plan of jiangsu university's superior discipline construction project phase iii" approved by the provincial government, there are A total of 178 disciplines in colleges and universities across the province, including 44 subjects of class A, 100 subjects of class B and 34 subjects of class C.
It is reported that "jiangsu university superior discipline construction project" was officially launched in November 2010, carried out in stages, the first phase of four years. A total of 122 and 165 disciplines (including key disciplines of the province) have been set up in phase I and phase ii projects. The 8 disciplines of agricultural informatics, food science and engineering, crop science, modern horticulture science, agricultural resources and environment, plant protection, veterinary medicine, agricultural and forestry economic management in our school have entered the first and second phases of the project construction. After two phase construction, the overall level of the eight disciplines obvious ascension, in the fourth round of discipline evaluation, crop science, agricultural resources and environment, plant protection, agriculture and forestry economic management has A + 4 disciplines, food science and engineering, horticulture 2 as A -, including crop science, agricultural resources and environment to be included in the construction of "double top" course list.
