Freshmen's admission education and training is divided into two parts: watching a series of Video Guides and visiting the library on the spot. By playing videos in the lecture hall, this paper introduces the borrowing methods of paper books, the acquisition methods of electronic resources, and how to obtain relevant literature resources and 1902 information sharing space from the resource retrieval platform, Jiangsu Engineering Document Center. On-the-spot visits are conducted by librarians with rich training experience. During the visits, freshmen are guided to pay close attention to the public number of the library's Weixin, and self-service equipment such as operating inquiry machine, self-borrowing machine and self-copying printer are demonstrated. The library collection is vividly and intuitively introduced. Basic knowledge such as layout, interlibrary loan and Library Classification. During the training process, the librarians also actively interact with the readers through the rewarded question-answering link, thus deepening the readers'understanding of the library.
For this training, the Library Reader Service Department has made full preparations. Publicity and guidance posters were set up at the beginning of freshmen's admission at the East and north gates of the library to remind the undergraduates of grade 2018 to make an appointment for freshmen's admission education courses in time. For the first time, 15 QQ groups of information services were set up for readers, which were named "Nong Xiaotu * College", and each QQ group was equipped with 1-2 librarians as counselors to provide real-time information consultation services for readers. At present, nearly 2000 readers have joined the group. The QQ group of information service has established a direct face-to-face communication channel between librarians and readers, which has been well received by students. At the same time, it has laid a foundation for the reader service department to carry out personalized reader service and improve the quality of service.
