To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, strengthen the party’s overall leadership of archives work in colleges and universities, further promote the innovation and development of archives work in colleges and universities in our province, and start a new journey of the "14th Five-Year" development of the archives undertakings in universities in Jiangsu Province, June 16, 2021 From January to the 19th, the "Archives Talk about a Century to Start a New Journey" seminar and the 7th University Archives Curator Forum was held in Lianyungang. Professor Zhu Shigui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Library (Cultural Heritage Department) of our school, and Librarian Wu Jiahui were invited to participate The seminar.

Sponsored by the Provincial University Archives Research Association and undertaken by Jiangsu Ocean University, more than 100 people representing universities and prefectural and municipal archives in Jiangsu participated in the seminar. The meeting agenda is divided into two parts. The first part was a special cultural performance of "Archives for the Centennial of the Founding of the Communist Party of China". All participating units brought wonderful artistic performances. The dance "Ode to Yimeng" performed by teacher Wu Jiahui of our museum, used the form of dance to show the story of the common people's sister-in-law in Yimeng Mountain who used her milk to rescue the wounded in the People's Liberation Army and boil chicken soup for the wounded, showing the military and the people's love for the Communist Party. The second part is the expert report. Comrade Yang Dongquan, former director of the National Archives Administration and chairman of the China Archives Society, made expert reports such as "How to be the Director of Archives." The participating units discussed this topic in depth and exchanged ideas with each other. During the seminar, the conference organizer also organized participants to visit the "Yangtze River Delta Treasures Exhibition" held by the Lianyungang Archives Bureau. This forum meeting provides a good reference and reference for exploring the organic integration of university archives and campus culture construction, builds a high-level academic platform, broadens the academic vision of participants, and promotes academic exchanges among archivists. The development of school archives provides a good opportunity and has a positive guiding significance for the promotion of school work.
