On the afternoon of April 26, the library (the Ministry of Cultural Heritage) held a document resource construction team working meeting in the conference room on the seventh floor. Seven people including Tang Huiyan, deputy director (deputy minister) of the library (cultural heritage department), and members of the library's document resource construction team attended the meeting.
Ji Junjie, director of the Document Resources Construction and Technical Support Department, reported on the current status, tasks and repair and purchase projects of the document resources construction this year. In particular, how to face the new tasks, new requirements, and new challenges under the new situation, and reported on the strategies and practices to deal with it. The meeting invited Mr. Zhu Lin from ProQuest to give a detailed introduction and presentation of SUMMON and Primo Discovery System, and also invited EDS to come to the school for face-to-face training and in-depth communication. Ji Junjie reported on the investigation of the discovery system including SUMMON, EDS, Primo, and introduced the corresponding joint procurement situation of the province, and gave a detailed explanation of the school's current needs and guarantees for this type of database. The teachers attending the meeting conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the product, and finally everyone showed their hands to vote and reached a consensus.
Tang Huiyan requested that the literature resource construction team should earnestly perform its duties, follow the prescribed requirements and procedures, and under the premise of scientific, reasonable and standardized research, evaluation and demonstration of literature resources, so as to protect the needs of teachers and students of the school and support the disciplines of the school. Develop, serve the school's "double first-class" construction, and work hard to form a supporting documentation resource guarantee system.
