In order to further promote the development of the integration of industry and talents, promote the establishment of industry-university-research consortiums between enterprises and universities to carry out collaborative innovation. On April 9, a seminar on the Internet of Things and Industrial Big Data was held at the Internet Building in Dongtai High-tech Zone. This lecture was organized by the Municipal Talent Work Leading Group Office and the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau in conjunction with the Dongtai Group of the 13th batch of Science and Technology Town Chiefs’Group. Nearly 50 representatives from electronic information, equipment manufacturing, and new materials industries from economic development zones and high-tech zones participated. Hu Yitao, deputy director of the Science and Technology Bureau, presided over by the library staff member, and Chen Shihai, member of the mayor group and deputy secretary of the Anfeng Town Party Committee, attended the meeting.

In this lecture, Professor Guo Yu from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics was invited. During the lecture, Professor Guo Yu explained in detail the generation process of the Internet of Things, and successively explained the concepts and relationships of Industrial Internet of Things, Industrial Big Data, and Intelligent Manufacturing. In the nearly two-hour report, he cited a large number of cases, discussed the current problems and challenges facing the Internet of Things and the issues that should be paid attention to in the implementation of the enterprise. The whole explanation process was lively and interesting, and the representatives of the enterprise expressed that they have gained a lot.

After the lecture, the Science and Technology Bureau issued a document card of the Jiangsu Engineering Technology Documentation Center to each enterprise. Hu Yitao explained and demonstrated the use of the document card on the spot.

This lecture is another special science and technology information training with the participation of our librarian after the establishment of the Dongtai Workstation of Scientific and Technological Literature and Intellectual Property Information Service in December 2020. Through training, Dongtai enterprises have improved their understanding of new technologies and concepts such as the Internet of Things and intelligent manufacturing, and provided theoretical guidance for the intelligent transformation and upgrading of enterprises. The science and technology literature information service card was issued on the spot, which will further facilitate enterprises to make good use of science and technology literature and master cutting-edge technology and industry trends.
